- Michelle Posner is a local painter, muralist and art teacher. She teaches full time at NYIT and at Smithtown Arts Council and Studio E on weekends. Michelle also teaches private art lessons specializing in portfolio development, figure drawing, painting, drawing and collage technique. Michelle and her husband, Stelios often collaborate on paintings and are affilitaed with many local art associations. I really enjoy your art work. I like the way you presented the blue moon concept. I'm certain you realize that a blue moon is two full moons during the same month, hence the phrase "Once in a blue moon"so by adding the blue steps and adding the same touch to the umbrella you have captured the reality of the blue moon.
